How to ask questions
This post try to help you maximize your chances of receiving useful answers on the forum.
Before you ask
- Try to find an answer by searching in the forum similar questions/answers or by searching on the Internet.
- Check the Block2Code documentation to see if there is an example that can help you.
- Try to solve the problem by yourself, and describe what you have tried, this can be very useful.
How to ask a good question?
Choose a good title
It should be brief and precise. A good title will help you attract more people and get fastest answers.
Choose a right category
It is important that you are tidy and write in the correct category.
Avoid asking multiple questions in the same post
If you ask multiple questions in the same topic, you will probably receive answers to only one of them. Create one post per question, but remember to go through the pre-posting procedure described above for each one.
Ask your question
Describe the problem you are experiencing. What component are you using? What blocks did you use? What errors did you receive?
Show what you have done
You must show the steps you have tried to take to solve problem. This will save time for anyone who helps you.
Provide images or useful material
Images or material of interest can help you solve your question faster.
Use good and simple English/Spanish
Using correct grammar is important. It will make your question easier to understand and, once again, people will be more willing to help you.
Tone and polite
It is important to be polite at all times. In addition, anything that sounds like almsgiving, such as “Help,” “Urgent,” and “Please help,” or using all-CAPS should be avoided. People are likely to avoid answering such posts.
After you have received an answer
Thank those who helped you, many are volunteers. If you have solved your problem, explain how you did it or what answer helped you, you will be able to help others with the same problem in the future.
